Awarded ‘Northern Ireland’s Best Event or Festival of 2008’, Warwick Corporate Event known for staging innovative and creative events and Head Office at Marsh Barton and further offices located in Belfast and Cardiff has created a new brand called ‘Pure Indulgence’.  The first event is to launch in the dedicated ‘Pure Indulgence Pavilion’ at the Devon County Show sponsored by Exeter FM.

The new and exciting series of ‘Pure Indulgence’ events which will appeal to the whole family, has nominated ‘Families for Children’ as Charity of the Year.  Exeter FM’s Mark Tyler Vice Patron for the charity will officially open the Pure Indulgence Pavilion on Thursday 20th May at 12 noon.

Up to 10,000 visitors are expected in the Pure Indulgence Pavilion over the three day period who will have the opportunity to browse around the many trade stands selling everything from designer handbags, bespoke jewellery through to spa treatments and beauty products.  There is also a dedicated Entertainment Zone for the over 18’s.  This area includes Mint Casino Torquay, the only casino in Torquay with the nearest casino based in Plymouth and Bristol.  On this stand you can purchase chips to play Black Jack with all monies going to Families for Children.  Also Newton Abbot Race Course will be promoting Race Nights with the opportunity for fun betting on pre-recorded races shown on a plasma screen with all monies again going to the Pure Indulgence charity.

In addition there will be regular fashion shows showcasing designer brands by independent Iris Boutique based in Gandy Street.  Live stage demonstrations include the launch of ‘The Desirable Butlers’ providing dream body waiters to make the ladies swoon who will be giving away free treats for the audience.  To ensure that the guys are happy too Rebecca Weaver of GumshoeUK is offering her services just for the show to be a fantasy waitress dressed in high heels, top hat and tails.  There is also the not to be missed 70’s Karaoke competitions courtesy of ‘My Glitterballs Promotions Limited’ where you will don your glitter wigs and play an inflatable guitar with free tickets up for grabs for the winners to include concerts by Slade, Alvin Stardust and the unmissable Glamrock Ball with The Glitterband and BC Sweet taking place in Torquay this year.  Rebecca of GumshoeUK who also fronts the rock band Monkey Funch will be the ‘Ringer Singer’ to get the party going and encourage others to join in.

David Warwick Director of Warwick Corporate Events said: “I am delighted that Exeter FM is supporting us and in addition we are helping to benefit a very worthy charity such as Families for Children.  We want to have a real community feel and so this fits in really well with the ethos of the Devon County Show and also what we are looking to achieve going forward. We already run a series of events in Northern Ireland which have proved very successful and we wanted to bring something new and exciting for the South West which is why we have created the Pure Indulgence brand. We are planning to roll out a series of Pure Indulgence events including our autumn show at Sandy Park on the 19th September which will have many additional and very different elements including a not to be missed ‘Entertainment Zone’ and Bridal fashion show.”

‘Families for Children’ has been selected as the Charity of the Year for each of the Pure Indulgence events in 2010 and there will be an opportunity for visitors to the Pure Indulgence Pavilion at the Devon County Show to enter a raffle for the chance to win some fantastic prizes kindly donated by local businesses.

Mark Tyler, Vice Patron of Families for Children said: “This high profile event organised by Warwick Corporate Events and sponsored by Exeter FM is a not to be missed community attraction for all the family and a great fundraising opportunity for Families for Children which is very close to my heart.  I'm very proud to tell everyone that I'm adopted.  I was adopted as an only child into a family who lived in Topsham Road Exeter and grew up with loving parents who loved the city, as I do now.  I have traced my birth parents and that experience turned out well.  I have nothing but praise for the adoption system and I'm proud to support Families for Children.

Michael Caines MBE, Patron of Families for Children said: “Families for Children is a charity close to my heart, as I am myself adopted and benefited from growing up in a loving family.  Adoption does work and gives a huge amount of benefit and joy to the adoptee and parents alike.”

Exeter FM presenters will be on hand throughout the three days to take requests for the opportunity for you to make a personal dedication to loved ones live on air and be entered in to a free prize draw for the chance to win a luxury holiday.

Anne Craib, Studio Director Exeter FM said: “We are very excited to be part of The Pure Indulgence launch in aid of a very worthy charity.  As a truly local radio station it is very important for us to be involved in the community and to show our support.  We are really looking forward to meeting our loyal listeners face to face and for the chance to meet new ones.”
